Safety Officer

We are currently seeking for a Safety Officer to join DHL eCommerce Malaysia!

The Safety Officer will be responsible in assisting the Security Manager in planning, implementing, and overseeing Company's employee safety at work. He/She is also responsible to ensure that the Company is complying and adheres to the Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assisting the Security Manager in investigating accidents & near misses within DHL business and finding solutions to improve safety & health measures.
• Enforces safety guidelines, conduct fire drill exercises, and implement first aid training for all the employees.
• Responsible for planning, implementing & overseeing companies employee safety at work.
• Safety Officer needs to ensure that the company is complying and adheres to the OSHA guidelines.
• Responsible for accessing & monitoring hazardous and unsafe situations.
• To develop measures to assure personnel safety & correct unsafe acts or conditions in the business.
• Participate in planning meetings to identify any health and safety concerns inherent in the operations daily work-plan.
• To Investigate accidents that have occurred within incident areas.
• Responsible in reviewing and approving all contractors & subcontractors safety plans for DHL business.
• Verifies & ensures the injury logs and reports are completed and submitted to related OSHA group in DHL business.
• Trains and carries out fire drills and exercises on how to manage emergency situations and safety guidelines.
• Responsible in conducting investigations of all accidents and near-misses in DHL and to report in crest reporting.
• Responsible in conducting Safety awareness training for all the office staffs & couriers.
• To review existing safety policies, measures and update according to legislation / Malaysian Safety Act.
• Any adhoc task assigned by superior.

Competency Requirements:

• Candidate must at least possess Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in relevant course
• Minimum 3-5 years of solid safety and health experiences
• Must have OSHA Certificate.
• Must be a valid DOSH Green Book holder
