Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a driven and technically inclined Sales Engineer who enjoys developing new business and solving real-world industrial challenges. We partner with top manufacturers worldwide, delivering advanced solutions in sensors, RFID, machine vision, and smart automation systems—driving Industry 4.0 transformation. You will act as the frontline technical advisor, driving both revenue growth and customer success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively hunt new business opportunities and close deals
  • Visit minimum 15 customers weekly (including new prospects)
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Present and demonstrate technical solutions to customers
  • Support product applications with technical teams when needed
  • Drive revenue, profit, and achieve assigned sales targets
  • Promote BALLUFF solutions and improve market brand awareness
  • Organize and participate in trade shows, training & roadshows
  • Provide market intelligence on competitor activity
  • Deliver product presentations and live demonstrations

Experience & Qualification

  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Technical, or related field
  • At least 1–3 years in industrial sales / technical sales / automation
  • Strong interest or experience in sensors, control, or factory automation
  • Proven ability to develop new business (hunter mindset)
  • Comfortable with frequent customer visits & presentations
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and resilient
  • Exposure to manufacturing / system integrators / automation industry
  • Experience in solution-based or consultative selling
  • Communication & Language
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong presentation skills for technical and application proposals
  • Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage for working with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
