JOB PURPOSE
To achieve sales management and to promote/integrate service products for overall business promotion and
developments.
JOB DESCRIPTIONS
1. Major Activities:
- To meet and exceed sales target set for individual and achieve maximum sales;
- To research and seek out prospects to build portfolio of clients;
- Take ownership of customer issues and follow-through till resolution;
- Represent the company in negotiating and building relationship with shippers and carriers;
- Maintain consistently positive interactions to nurture customer relationships;
- To establish and maintain good relationship with customers, Dimerco stations, alliances and business partners;
- To co-ordinate with other departments for maximization of resources, facilities, productivity, service efficiency & minimize cost through team work;
- Attend and participate in sales meetings, trainings and trade shows;
- To undertake other assignment from the Management.
2. Time Management
- Utilise laptops and mobile phones for communications
- Effective sales visits planning
- Call on accounts in cluster to minimize travelling time, and maximizing productivity
3. Self-Organization:
- Plan daily, weekly and monthly call in advance;
- Ensure sales tool kit in good condition and update as and when necessary;
- Dress neatly, well-groomed and maintain a presentable automobile;
- Present a professional image;
- Update customer profile and daily sales activities report.
3. Administrative:
- Maintain customer profiles and quotation files;
- Submit the following in a timely manner, daily call reports, sales & marketing plan, expenses report, incentive report and other monthly report as required by the Management;
- The compile sales quality objectives for ISO 9001 and ensure proper filling;
- Complete and submit credit applications for new accounts and provide comments & approval within his authority for subordinate credit applications;
- Confidentiality not to divulge in all matters, transactions or interests pertaining to company matters.
4. Company Relations:
- Comply with all company policies and operate within the expenses budget;
- Work with, develop positive relationships & communication and coordinate activities with the team in sales & marketing, customer service, operations, accounting & finance, MIS and human resources internally and externally with overseas offices, alliance and business partners;
- Communicate effectively, co-operate with all personnel and management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Fresh graduate with interest in the Freight Forwarding industry is welcome to apply!
- Minimum 2 years working experience in related field (forwarding/transportation/ freight industry)
- Minimum SPM/STPM/Diploma/Advance/Higher/Graduate in Diploma in Logistic/ Transportation or equivalent
- Have good and positive attitude, detail-orientated
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Knowledge in resolving customer complaints efficiently
- Able to work independently and in team & able to work under pressure in a fast moving environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Words, Excel, Power point)
- Able to read, write and converse in English and Malay language
