Job Description
Job Summary
The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding the customer base for United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd, focusing on identifying and acquiring new clients while maintaining strong relationships with existing ones to achieve sales targets and contribute to the bank's overall success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve individual and team sales targets for various banking products and services (e.g., loans, deposits, credit cards, investment products).
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through various channels, including cold calling, networking, referrals, and participation in industry events.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments with potential and existing clients to understand their financial requirements and recommend suitable banking solutions.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients, clearly articulating the value proposition of UOB's offerings.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as credit, operations, and product development to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to effectively position UOB's products and services.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and analyses to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all sales activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record of success in a sales or business development role, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of banking products and services, including retail and/or corporate banking offerings.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
- Results-oriented with a strong drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in other local dialects is an added advantage.
