Job Description

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The Sales Manager will lead and coach a sales team to achieve and exceed enrollment and revenue targets for IT STEP Academy's educational programs. Daily responsibilities include planning and executing sales strategies, managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing, and monitoring key performance metrics. The role also involves building and maintaining strong relationships with prospective students, parents, corporate partners, and community organizations through meetings, presentations, and events. The Sales Manager will collaborate closely with marketing and academic teams to align campaigns, refine messaging, and provide feedback from the market to enhance offerings and processes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales management, business development, or account management, preferably in education, training, or related services.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a diverse sales team toward clear performance goals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage various audiences (students, parents, and corporate clients).
  • Solid analytical and organizational skills, including experience using CRM tools and sales reports to track pipelines, forecasts, and KPIs.
  • Ability to work on-site in WP. Kuala Lumpur and adapt to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Customer-focused mindset, with a commitment to ethical sales practices and high-quality service.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in education, EdTech, training centers, or similar industries is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in English; additional language skills commonly used in Kuala Lumpur are a plus.
