Role Overview
As a Sales Manager, you will take ownership of driving revenue growth across East Asia and Southeast Asia while playing a key role in presales and strategic sales initiatives. You will be responsible not only for managing the sales pipeline and closing deals, but also for supporting Directors in client engagement, solution positioning, and deal development across the region.
This role requires a strong balance of hands-on sales execution and presales capability, including understanding client requirements, contributing to solution design, and supporting complex, multi-country opportunities. You will work closely with internal teams, partners, and leadership to ensure opportunities are well-qualified, strategically positioned, and successfully converted into high-value engagements.
Responsibilities:
- Drive sales and business development activities across East Asia and Southeast Asia, identifying opportunities in key regional markets
- Own and manage the full sales lifecycle from lead generation to deal closure, including negotiation and contract finalisation
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence
- Build, manage, and grow relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders across the region
- Support Directors in presales activities, including client discussions, solution positioning, and deal strategy
- Engage clients to understand business requirements and translate them into structured, solution-based approaches
- Work closely with technical and consulting teams to shape solutions, proposals, and value propositions
- Contribute to the development of proposals, RFP responses, and client presentations
- Act as a bridge between clients, sales leadership, and delivery teams to ensure alignment throughout the sales cycle
- Support complex and multi-country deal pursuits by coordinating inputs across stakeholders
- Maintain a strong, accurate, and forward-looking pipeline with clear visibility of risks and opportunities
- Ensure disciplined CRM management (e.g., HubSpot), including forecasting, activity tracking, and reporting
- Provide regular sales forecasts, insights, and updates to leadership
- Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, events, and outreach initiatives aligned to regional growth
- Strengthen partner engagement and drive joint opportunities across multiple markets
- Support smooth handover of closed deals to delivery teams with complete and accurate documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, pipeline management, and go-to-market strategies
- Mentor and guide junior sales team members where applicable, ensuring strong sales discipline and best practices
- Maintain professionalism and compliance with company policies, client contracts, and partner agreements
Requirements:
- Proven track record in sales or business development with ownership of revenue targets and consistent achievement of quotas
- Strong experience managing end-to-end sales cycles, including complex or consulting-led engagements
- Experience in presales, solutioning, or supporting complex technology or consulting deals is highly preferred
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop and execute effective regional sales strategies
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior decision-makers
- High level of discipline in pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM usage
- Experience working with clients across East Asia and Southeast Asia, with an understanding of regional market dynamics
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to deal execution
- Driven, resourceful, and results-oriented, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in regional languages (e.g., Mandarin or Cantonese) would be an advantage
