SAP HCM AMS LeadRole OverviewThe SAP HCM AMS Lead is responsible for overseeing application management services (AMS) for SAP HCM, ensuring high-quality support, system stability, and continuous improvement. This role serves as the primary liaison between HR, business stakeholders, and IT, while leading L2/L3 support operations and driving transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end SAP HCM AMS support, including L2/L3 incident management, issue resolution, and escalation handling
- Provide functional expertise across core HCM modules: Personnel Administration (PA), Organizational Management (OM), Time Management (TM), and Payroll
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to master data, time evaluation, payroll processing, schemas, PCRs, and infotypes
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, maintain service quality, and drive system performance and stability
- Perform root cause analysis and manage problem resolution, change requests, and system enhancements
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT), system releases, and implementation of regulatory/statutory updates
- Act as the primary point of contact for HR and business stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance (FI), Security, and third-party system providers
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to transformation programs such as SAP S/4HANA and SAP SuccessFactors
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including SOPs, knowledge base articles, and support processes
- Lead, mentor, and guide junior consultants and support team members
Qualifications & Experience- 8+ years of SAP HCM functional consulting experience, with a strong focus on AMS/support environments
- Proven expertise in core HCM modules: PA, OM, TM, and Payroll
- Hands-on experience in L2/L3 support, incident management, and service delivery operations
- Strong understanding of payroll schemas, PCRs, infotypes, and end-to-end payroll processes
- Experience in incident, problem, and change management frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
- Solid knowledge of HR compliance and statutory requirements
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and mentor junior consultants
- Experience with integrations involving FI, Security, and third-party systems is an advantage
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA or SAP SuccessFactors is a plus
