Job Description

Role Overview

As a Scrum Manager, you will be a key driver of agile delivery within a leading financial services organization. This role requires a managerial mindset balancing agile process facilitation with high-level stakeholder management and delivery governance. You will act as a servant-leader for cross-functional squads, ensuring they remain focused on delivering high-value digital solutions while navigating the complexities of a highly regulated industry.


Key Responsibilities

  • Agile Facilitation: Lead all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the bridge between the squads and business leads. Manage expectations regarding timelines, scope, and deliverables.
  • Impediment Removal: Proactively identify and resolve blockers, technical, resource-based, or administrative that hinder the team's progress.
  • Coaching & Mentorship: Guide the team and Product Owners on backlog refinement, story pointing, and maintaining a healthy delivery velocity.
  • Delivery Governance: Track and report on squad performance metrics (Cycle Time, Throughput, Quality) and ensure alignment with the broader corporate roadmap.
  • Risk & Compliance: Ensure all agile delivery practices adhere to industry-specific regulations and internal audit standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Minimum 5–8 years in Project Management or IT Delivery, with at least 3+ years specifically in a Scrum Master or Agile Lead role.
  • Industry: Proven experience in Insurance, Takaful, or Banking is highly preferred.
  • Certifications: Mandatory CSM (Certified Scrum Master) or PSM (Professional Scrum Master). SAFe or PMP certifications are a strong advantage.
  • Tools: Proficiency in Jira and Confluence is essential. Experience with Azure DevOps or digital transformation projects is a plus.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
