We are looking for a proactive, detail-orientated, and experienced professional to lead and grow the KUL Seafreight department including seafreight products (FCL, LCL, Breakbulk, RO-RO, vessel charter/part charter, and project cargo). This role is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence, profitable growth, maintaining good carrier relationships, safe handling of Oil & Gas and complex project cargoes. Key Responsibilities
• Lead, coach and develop the seafreight team with clear KPIs.
• Manage carrier, NVOCC, co-loader and vendor relationships.
• Negotiate competitive rates, space, and service agreements (if any).
• Drive RFQ and pricing strategy to ensure margins and competitiveness.
• Oversee all seafreight operations including FCL, LCL, Breakbulk, OOG, chartering, and project cargo.
• Ensure DG/IMDG compliance, especially for Oil & Gas and project shipments.
• Independently manage project cargo tasks (surveys, lifting plans) – added advantage.
• Full P&L control including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
• Maximize profit through operational efficiency and yield improvement.
• Maintain SOPs, compliance standards, and support internal/external audits.
• Ensure customer expectations are clearly understood and consistently met through excellent service delivery.
Required Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• 7–10+ years in ocean freight forwarding with minimum 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong and hands-on experience in seafreight operations, Oil & Gas, and project cargo.
• Strong negotiation skills with proven carrier/vendor management.
• Experience in P&L ownership and financial management.
• Good knowledge of DG/IMDG and HSE requirements.
