Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of production operations within the section, ensuring efficiency and compliance
- Take full accountability for the section's operational performance, including process effectiveness, risk management, and internal/external customer satisfaction
- Provide both managerial leadership and technical expertise; actively engage in problem-solving, resource management, and waste reduction
- Apply strong analytical skills to evaluate data, interpret procedures and tests, and develop effective solutions
- Oversee and deliver complex improvement projects that drive operational excellence
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of all production-related reports
- Assess employee skills and competencies; develop training plans and career progression strategies to enhance team capability
- Guarantee full compliance with regulatory authority requirements and customer specifications
- Carry out any additional responsibilities as assigned
- Comply and support Environmental Health & Safety policies, rules and regulations at all times
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of working experience in a Maintenance Repair and Overhaul within aviation environment is an added advantage
- Minimum 3 years experience in a leadership role
- Proven expertise in manufacturing planning, safety management, quality assurance, and budgeting, complemented by strong business acumen
- Advanced knowledge of Aviation Regulations, MRO Regulatory requirements, MPM/QAR.
- Strong understanding of inspection techniques, quality control, and manufacturing planning
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Excellent leadership, team collaboration, time management, and project management skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Good understanding of the airfoil repair process (NDT, Welding, Heat Treatment, Surface Treatment, Metal forming techniques) is an added advantage
- Good computer skills especially with Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, etc
