Job Description

The Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accounts Executive to support our finance operations, with a strong focus on compliance and financial reporting within the group of companies. Your work will directly impact the finance function effectiveness of the group. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a strong background in accounting and compliance requirements. You will work closely with the Group Finance Director to ensure timely, accurate and compliant reporting, while supporting continuous improvement across our finance processes.

What You'll Do:

  1. Drive the month end closing activities for the group of companies, including preparation of the necessary schedules and reclassification entries
  2. Review and analyze general ledger account balances and report any abnormalities to the leadership team for immediate corrective action
  3. Ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with local regulations and company policies
  4. Identify opportunities to strengthen Finance processes and workflows
  5. Support statutory/special audit and tax audit (if any) include coordination with auditor/tax agents and preparing the necessary supporting documentation
  6. Support corporate tax and indirect tax matters (Sales & Service Tax, Withholding tax and Transfer Pricing)
  7. Monitor departmental spending against budget on a timely manner
  8. Perform Intercompany Billings and monthly reconciliations, ensuring all entries are posted accurately in a timely manner
  9. Liaise with relevant vendors and stakeholders (Malaysia and China) to ensure smooth handling of financial transactions and documentation
  10. Responsible for the calculation of quarterly Sales Commission & Incentives
  11. Additional ad-hoc tasks

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, MIA or any equivalent) is an added advantage
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin (Chinese) is a must
  • At least 5 years of related working experience
  • Experience from a Big 4 accounting firm or a blend of corporate and high growth start-up is an added advantage
  • Solid understanding of financial regulation and compliance requirements
  • In-depth knowledge in accounting and internal control
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to work independently with large volume of data and drive insights

Work closely with our CFO, Group Finance Director, People & Culture Manager, Accounts Executive.
