About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Analyst to join our team focused on MFRS9 Individual Assessment (IA) at RHB Group Finance. In this role, you will be responsible for managing reporting and analytical information related to MFRS9 IA for both Domestic and Overseas branches. You will play a critical role in reviewing and analyzing the impact of MFRS9 assessments, collaborating closely with various business units, auditors, and risk management teams to ensure compliance and accurate impairment methodologies.
What You Will Be Doing
- Manage reporting and analytical information on MFRS9 Individual Assessment (IA) for Domestic and Overseas branches
- Review and analyze the impact on MFRS9 based on manual assessments covering both individual and collective allowances for impaired and non-impaired loans
- Respond to information requests from Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Business Units, Group Finance, Islamic Bank, Group Risk Management, internal and external auditors, Rating Agencies, and BNM
- Collaborate with auditors, Loan Recovery, and business heads to ensure impairment methodology aligns with the revised Group Credit Policy
- Work with Group Credit Management to perform back testing on IA key assumptions
- Provide advisory and support to Account Relationship Officers (AROs) on monthly/quarterly individual assessments
- Manage and participate in all User Acceptance Tests (UAT) for related system processes
- Liaise with Loan Recovery System Support and IT teams to drive system enhancements and process automation
- Organize IRWC meetings by scheduling monthly and ad-hoc sessions, developing agendas, compiling and analyzing approval papers, and preparing minutes
- Assist in preparing various financial reports on IFRS/MFRS 9 related and non-related individual assessments for submission to management, business units, regulatory bodies, and auditors within stipulated timelines
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, credit risk, or related fields within banking or financial services
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review complex financial data and impact assessments
- Good organizational and planning skills to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines
- Experience working with auditors and regulatory requirements such as BNM and rating agencies
- Knowledge of MFRS9/IFRS9 standards and impairment methodologies is preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across business units and technical teams
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and driven to deliver high-quality outputs
