Role Description
The available role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mont Kiara. The role involves advising clients on a broad range of legal issues, particularly in corporate matters, commercial transactions, financial services, as well as drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents and commercial agreements. The individuals will conduct legal research, prepare opinions and memorandum and support transactional work such as due diligence, regulatory submissions and deal execution. Responsibilities also include managing files and timelines, liaising with clients, counterparties and regulators as well as contributing to discussions and negotiations as and when required. The role requires collaboration with partners and team members, mentoring junior colleagues and supporting business development initiatives in the firm's core practice areas.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from accredited institution with minimum of 5 years PQE (for Senior Associate position) and 1+ year PQE (for Legal Associate). Candidate must be admitted to practice as Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya
- Master's degree or any other professional or postgraduate qualification will be highly advantageous
- Proven ability to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines and work independently while collaborating within a team environment
- Attention to detail, high ethical standards and a commitment to professional development and continuous learning
- Candidates must possess prior experience in corporate and M&A transaction or advising on clients financial services industry
