Job Description

Job Summary

To lead, coordinate, and oversee the end-to-end implementation of a national-level strategic initiative and organization-level Al and digital transformation initiatives. The role ensures structured planning, cross-functional coordination, governance compliance, and timely delivery of project milestones. The position provides dedicated oversight to ensure high-impact Al projects are executed effectively, aligned with organizational strategy, and supported by strong stakeholder engagement.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and manage the overall project plan, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables;
  2. Lead and oversee day-to-day activities during construction and implementation stages;
  3. Ensure projects executed and progress according to schedule and scope;
  4. Prepare project documentation, progress reports, dashboards, and briefing papers for senior management and governance committees;
  5. Ensure adherence to organizational governance standards, financial controls, and procurement procedure;
  6. Act as the primary coordinator and focal point for internal stakeholders across business, technical, finance, procurement, and strategic functions;
  7. Facilitate communication, manage expectations, and ensure alignment across workstreams;
  8. Chair project meetings and lead progress briefings;
  9. Monitor project budgets and control expenditure;
  10. Identify project risks early and implement mitigation and contingency plans;
  11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver Al projects; and
  12. Track project KPls, benefits, and outcomes related to Al adoption, digital transformation improvements, and operational efficiency

Qualifications & Work Experience

  1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field from a reputable university;
  2. Minimum 5-8 years experience in project management, preferably in ICT, digital transformation, Al, analytics, or innovation projects;
  3. Proven experience managing multi-stakeholder and multi-year complex projects;
  4. Familiarity with procurement processes, financial governance and compliance within a regulated environment;
  5. Demonstrated experience in project planning, budgeting, and execution for high-value projects (RM2 million and above);
  6. Added advantages to posses Certifications in project management (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) and knowledge of Government Procurement Processes

Technical Competencies

  1. Project Planning, Execution and Coordination skills
  2. Knowledge on technical infrastructure and Al/digital Lab setup requirement
  3. Understanding of ICT system architecture design, platform, APIs, integrations, and interoperability requirements
  4. Budgeting and Cost Control
  5. Risk Assessment and Mitigation Planning
  6. Proficiency in project management platforms (MS Project, Planner & etc)
  7. Report Writing and Presentation Skills

  2. Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  3. Excellent Stakeholder engagement, management and negotiation abilities
  4. Good analytical, problem-solving and risk management skills
  5. Able to manage tight deadlines and multiple priorities

Candidate must be willing to work in Cyberjaya.

One (1) year contract with 6-months probation period
