Job Description

Key Accountabilities

  1. Develop content briefs with a strong medical perspective, including concept development that supports marketing campaigns, service promotions, patient education, brand awareness initiatives, etc.
  2. Create engaging, well-researched content such as articles, social content, videos, infographics, guidebooks, newsletters etc.
  3. Work with translators to get content translated to the relevant language/s (i.e. Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia) and ensure accuracy in translated content.
  4. Ensure high-quality content through careful editing for grammar, punctuation, spelling, clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
  5. Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines in style, tone, and language.
  6. Provide input on and edit assigned materials (e.g. articles, infographics, social media content, websites, presentations, print and digital assets) across all stages from draft to final output.
  7. Stay up to date with current healthcare industry trends, pharmaceutical practices and regulatory requirements.
  8. Demonstrate strong understanding of Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) style, Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) guidelines and scientific/ medical materials.
  9. Maintain familiarity with the Company's services, facilities, and relevant promotional materials to ensure accuracy in all content.
  10. Ensure timely delivery of content creation, vetting and approvals.
  11. Keep stakeholders and team members informed of emerging trends in medical content.
  12. Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Head of Marketing or designated representative.

Qualifications and Work Experience

  1. MBBS
  2. Qualified to create and review / approve medical content.
  3. At least 1-2 years working experience in editorial positions (online & offline).
  4. Have prior experience in a medical writing role & copywriting, either for the healthcare industry or for a medical communications agency.
  5. Excellent spoken and written English skills.
  6. Strong writing and composition skills and an eye for detail.
  7. Experience in medical affairs in the pharma industry will also be considered.
  8. Capability in taking complex scientific content and presenting it in clear, concise messaging.
  9. Experience in PR role, preferably from healthcare industry, is an added advantage.
  10. Familiarity with social media.
  11. Good knowledge of SEO, web traffic metrics and marketing is a plus.
  12. Ability to multitask and take on multiple assignments.
  13. Comfortable working with PowerPoint for presentation or Excel spreadsheet for data analysis when needed.
  14. This role is open to applicants who do not require visa or employment pass sponsorship.
