Key Responsibilities
- Act as a BI Developer / Consultant, supporting Lenovo's Finance team in digital transformation and analytics initiatives.
- Collaborate with multiple business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into scalable and effective BI solutions.
- Design and implement data models and schemas tailored for financial reporting, analysis, and decision‑making.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL pipelines to integrate data from source systems (e.g. ERP, GL, CRM) into centralized data platforms.
- Drive project execution by tracking progress, providing regular updates, and working closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Identify and troubleshoot data quality issues and discrepancies, ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable data availability.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for dashboards and reports, including user training, QA, and issue resolution.
- Manage report change control processes, implementing enhancements in line with standard procedures and evolving business needs.
- Continuously support structural and business changes, including data integration, standardization, and governance initiatives.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across global and cross‑functional teams.
- Solid technical foundation in BI solutions, including a strong understanding of data warehouse architecture and data flows.
- Hands‑on experience with data modeling and building datasets for financial reporting and analytics.
- High level of business and data sensitivity, with the ability to quickly understand business context, project value, and stakeholder objectives.
- Strong sense of ownership, with proven problem‑solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
- Basic proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python, PowerShell) for automation and data manipulation.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above from a full‑time academic program.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably with exposure to multiple finance‑related domains such as FPA, Supply Chain, or Finance.
- Proven experience in data analytics and BI development, with strong proficiency in Power BI (end‑to‑end development from scratch); experience with Qlik Sense is a plus.
- Strong expertise in data modeling, DAX, and dashboard design; familiarity with Row‑Level Security (RLS) for access control.
- Proficiency in at least one common database technology (e.g. Azure Databricks, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle).
- Hands‑on experience with ETL tools (e.g. Talend, Informatica, SSIS) is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, as well as data warehouse design and modeling principles.
- Exposure to SAP ECC/BW, Microsoft Power Platform, and big data technologies (e.g. Hive, Spark) is considered an advantage.
