Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable & Financial Operations
- Oversee accounts receivable (AR) processes, ensuring efficient billing and collections.
- Monitor outstanding invoices and aging schedules to ensure timely payments.
- Follow up on overdue payments and match collections with outstanding invoices.
- Collaborate with the in-house Credit Collection Team to manage debtor accounts and ensure timely settlement of invoices.
- Issue accurate and timely invoices to clients/customers, ensuring alignment with engagement letters.
- Handle back charges for reimbursable claims (clients/intercompany).
- Track bank transactions and incoming payments, ensuring accurate recording in the accounting system.
- Assist with credit card and bank-related inquiries.
Financial Reporting & Month-End Closing
- Perform month-end and year-end closing, including bank reconciliations, payables, receivables, and financial schedules.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports for management review.
- Ensure timely submission of GST returns.
- Prepare necessary documents for audits, including tax computations.
- Maintain and update the pipeline tracker and generate aging and billing reports.
- Support the Head of Finance and/or immediate superior in the finance integration of new acquisitions, including reviewing workflows, aligning to HQ policies, and financial reporting.
Administrative & Client Support
- Provide fee quotes to clients as requested by the operations team.
- Prepare demand letters for clients with long-outstanding payments.
- Maintain and update client contact lists, renewal retainer listings, and nominee director listings.
- Coordinate with clients for meeting appointments and ensure smooth communication.
- Handle general administrative duties, including managing couriers, printers, Wi-Fi, stationery, and cleaning services.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve operational finance-related issues.
- Supervise finance executives, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
What we're looking for:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar finance role, preferably in the Accounting and Financial Reporting industry
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and reporting standards
- Proficient in the use of financial software and spreadsheet applications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams
