This role will work closely with management to ensure effective implementation of HR practices and processes, compliance with Malaysian employment regulations, and smooth delivery of HR services to employees.
Job Function Summary:
Manage end-to-end recruitment activities including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees while working closely with hiring managers to meet workforce needs. Support employee relations by addressing concerns, handling grievances, and ensuring disciplinary matters are managed fairly and in accordance with company policies and Malaysian labor laws. Coordinate and administer performance management processes, including appraisals, performance improvement plans, and employee development initiatives.
Oversee compensation and benefits administration by preparing payroll inputs, managing employee benefits, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements such as EPF, SOCSO, and EIS. Maintain and update HR policies and procedures in line with the Employment Act 1955 and other relevant regulations, while ensuring proper documentation and audit readiness. Facilitate training and development programs, including onboarding and continuous learning initiatives, to enhance employee capabilities and engagement.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, prepare periodic HR reports, and support various HR projects and process improvement initiatives to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness of the HR function.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with at least 4–6 years of relevant HR experience, preferably within a manufacturing, shared services, or multinational environment in Penang. Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and statutory requirements is essential, along with hands-on experience in payroll administration and HR systems. The role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin is an added advantage.
