Role Description

This is a full-time role to be based in Kuala Lumpur for a suitably qualified Senior Interior Designer. We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer who has a diverse portfolio including workplace experience. You should be a strong all rounder with excellent design and project management skills. The successful candidate will work closely with the AWP project leaders to design and manage interior projects from conception to completion. They will ensure integration of various design elements, and coordinating with relevant software development among the teams as necessary. Day-to-day tasks include developing Interior concept designs, overseeing project management activities, and collaborating with clients and team members to deliver high-quality projects. You are also expected to act as a point of guidance for technical and project leadership for the younger staff.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Workplace design, Space Planning and Interior Design to create innovative yet functional and aesthetically pleasing environments
• Strong knowledge of Interior Design, Architecture and Construction Drawings
• Experience in FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) selection and management
• Proficient communication and collaboration skills for effective coordination with multidisciplinary teams
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rendering Software and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong design, organizational and project management abilities
• Work experience in high-profile commercial, residential, office workplace or hospitality design projects
• Strong Technical knowledge and local Construction experience
• Minimum relevant experience of 12+ years
• Excellent communication and team leadership skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage a team
• Relevant experience in leading major projects in Malaysia or the region
