With an internationally experienced team supported by seasoned senior partners based in the Headquarters in Singapore, AWP Architects undertakes diverse projects across Southeast Asia, China and in the APEC region. The company has been active in Malaysia since 2023 and established 2 Malaysian offices, in KL and Johor, from 2005 to support our increasing local workload. Despite the Architecure success, AWP remains committed to our Interior Design Portfolio and continues to live up to the ongoing challenges. We are currently expanding this department in the region and within the Malaysian market. We seek suitable and like-minded professionals to join our team.

Role Description

As a full-time Senior Interior Designer at AWP Architects to be based in our Kuala Lumpur Office, you will lead the design and execution of interior projects, conducting space planning, workplace design, producing construction drawings, coordinating FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) and overseeing the interior design lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with clients, vendors, and project teams to ensure design excellence. The successful candidate will be involved with our regional interior design projects. He/she will work with the regional leadership on the projects delivery. This is a significant positon with potential management track in the future.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in Workplace, Space Planning and Interior Design
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • Skills in Interior design and developing Construction Drawings
  • Knowledge of FF&E selection, specification, and coordination
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Excellent design sensibilities with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Revit
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
  • Professional certification or licensure in interior design or architecture is a plus
  • Experience in managing large-scale or international projects is advantageous
  • Clear communcation and leadership abilities
  • Ability to travel regionally
