5. Manage end-to-end delivery of AI-based projects, including scoping, vendor selection and evaluation, contract/SOW management, and delivery oversight, given AI execution is currently largely vendor-managed.
6. Serve as the primary liaison with Group IT (including the AI Governance CoE) to coordinate on data access, system integration, UAT, penetration testing, storage and governance requirements for AI projects.
7. Establish and maintain a governance framework for AI project intake, prioritization and value/benefits tracking.
8. Lead, mentor, and develop the AI Strategy & Advisory team, building their capability to support project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
9. Monitor emerging AI trends, tools and regulatory developments (e.g. BNM RMiT and other applicable frameworks) and translate implications into the bank's AI strategy.
10. Support change management and adoption efforts to embed AI-driven ways of working across the division.
Key Relationships
1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business or a related field; relevant certifications in AI/data strategy or project management are an advantage.
2. Minimum 8 years of working experience, including exposure to AI/data strategy, technology consulting or digital transformation, preferably within financial services or another regulated industry.
3. Demonstrated experience assessing data infrastructure, legacy systems and organizational readiness to identify gaps affecting technology/AI initiatives.
4. Strong understanding of AI/GenAI concepts (e.g. LLMs, agentic systems, RPA-AI convergence) sufficient to evaluate vendor proposals and challenge technical assumptions; hands-on engineering/coding skills are not required.
5. Proven track record of developing strategy roadmaps and translating them into actionable, resourced delivery plans.
6. Experience managing vendors and third-party delivery partners, including contract/SOW scoping and outcome accountability.
7. Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior and C-level executives.
8. Working knowledge of relevant regulatory and governance frameworks applicable to AI/technology in financial services (e.g. BNM RMiT).
9. People leadership experience or strong demonstrated potential to lead and develop a team.
