Summary:
- To support BAB in executing all tenders or new business opportunities with winning formula
- Challenge engineering and project team on deliverables to meet the requirement of Clients
- Coordinate Tax, Project Financing, Legal and Corp Finance etc. to ensure consistency and alignment on commercial submissions, in line with internal governance procedures and standards
- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to complete a given task (tender submission or new business opportunities)
Key Accountabilities:
Creating Opportunities & Meeting Deadlines:
- Support BAB in presenting to potential clients and / or partners through direct communication in face-to-face meetings, telephone calls and emails
- Actively and successfully support the sales process: lead generation; credentials pitch; asking questions; solution pitch; negotiation; close; handover to the Project / Operations teams
- Possess drive, motivation and acute attention to detail in ensuring all sales opportunities to BAB are captured and explored
- Maintaining a pipeline and ensuring all sales administration is current
Managing internal / external stakeholders:
- Support and deliver all client proposals, contracts and any further documentation, following BAB procedures
- Effectively interact with other departments including technical and non-technical teams in developing leads and delivering proposals, and ensuring all stakeholders are briefed on developments
Industry Knowledge & Expertise:
- Have in depth knowledge of both commercial, technical and contractual aspects of the business and develop prospects; Deploy above skills in value selling to major prospects (both new and current customers) resulting in strong volume, proceeds and margin growth; Up to date with the current trends of customer and business environments to ensure the appropriate service providers are assigned to fulfill the customer's needs;
- Be accountable for own development plan to continuously improve competencies, particularly in project financing and economics.
- Be responsible and proactive in upholding company safety values.
Responsibility:
- Support tender team to ensure compliant bid is submitted, in line with internal corporate governance standards
- Prepare Handover Dossier upon project award
- Prepare a bid preparation schedule for submission of bids; identify people responsible for various activities within predetermined timelines, and a common understanding of the scope.
- Liaise with internal audit for matters related to departmental audit matters.
- Ensure all internal approvals are sought for submission of tender including BOD/RMC/AC approvals
Requirements:
Education Qualifications/Professional Certifications:
- Minimum Degree in Economics, Business Management, Finance, Eng. Degree either in Process/Chemical, Mechanical or Naval Arch with business acumen and post graduate business qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Energy - Oil & Gas industry
- Background handling tenders and new business opportunities Oil & Gas industry
Competencies:
- Contracting knowledge and negotiation
- Willing to work under pressure and less supervision
- Able to travel frequently on an ad hoc basis
- Analytical and ownership of task given
- Ability to multitask and to work with internal / external stakeholders
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
