How This Role Came About
This is a newly created position, established in response to the Group's recent investments and continued expansion. As the organization embarks on its next phase of growth, there is a need to strengthen its corporate finance leadership to support large-scale transactions, capital initiatives, and strategic projects.
The Corporate Finance Senior Manager will play a critical role in shaping the Group's financial strategy and driving value creation at the corporate (group) level. This role will be responsible for driving the Group's capital strategy, funding initiatives, investment activities, and financial advisory matters to support long-term growth and value creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage corporate finance activities including mergers & acquisitions (M&A), divestments, joint ventures, capital raising, and other strategic corporate exercises.
- Evaluate and structure investment opportunities, including financial modelling, due diligence, valuation, and negotiations.
- Develop financing strategies and manage relationships with banks, investors, rating agencies, and financial institutions.
- Oversee the Group's capital structure, debt portfolio, and treasury management to ensure optimal funding mix and cost efficiency.
- Provide strategic recommendations on corporate finance matters to senior management and the Board.
- Collaborate with business units on feasibility studies, project financing, and investment decision-making.
- Monitor financial markets, regulatory changes, and industry trends to identify risks and opportunities.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team to deliver quality execution on transactions and financial advisory projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Professional qualification (ACCA, CFA, ICAEW, CPA, etc.) preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven track record in executing M&A, fundraising, and complex financial transactions.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication abilities.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
