Role Overview:
This role leads the overall financial management of the organization, driving strategic financial direction, governance, and operational excellence. It plays a critical role in supporting business expansion, enhancing financial controls, and partnering closely with leadership to drive profitability and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full spectrum of finance operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal policies while maintaining strong financial discipline across the organization.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes, delivering accurate and timely management reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Drive cash flow management, tax compliance, and financial planning to optimize liquidity, working capital efficiency, and overall financial health.
- Lead the transition of accounting standards framework, including assessment, implementation roadmap, and ensuring full compliance with reporting requirements.
- Provide commercial finance insights by analyzing business performance across retail channels, including store-level profitability, product margins, and return on investment.
- Oversee inventory management and cost control, ensuring effective monitoring of stock valuation, shrinkage, and operational cost efficiency in a retail-driven environment.
- Identify financial trends, key performance indicators, and performance gaps, offering actionable recommendations to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
- Manage treasury functions, including cash flow monitoring, banking relationships, and fund allocation to ensure sufficient liquidity for business operations.
- Establish and strengthen governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks to support a structured and professionally managed organization.
- Continuously improve financial systems and processes, including integration with operational and digital platforms to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Act as a strategic business partner to senior leadership by providing financial insights and evaluating the financial implications of key business decisions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture and building organizational capability.
- Manage shareholder reporting requirements, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial submissions, while serving as the key liaison for financial queries and analysis.
- Oversee administrative functions including office operations, vendor management, insurance, compliance filings, and coordination of HR-related administrative matters.
- Support corporate finance initiatives such as investment evaluation, funding strategies, and capital structuring to support business growth.
- Contribute to overall financial strategy formulation and ensure effective execution as the organization scales.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA is mandatory.
- Minimum 10–15 years of relevant finance experience, preferably within retail, FMCG, or e-commerce environments.
- Proven track record in financial leadership, strategic planning, and business partnering at senior management level.
- Strong experience in financial reporting standards transition and implementation is highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a lean and dynamic environment.
