Role Description

The Senior Manager of Reporting and Tax is responsible for leading the Group's financial reporting, statutory compliance, tax management, and governance functions across the IMU Group. The role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial statements, compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, and provides strategic leadership in tax planning, risk management, and financial governance.

This role oversees reporting and compliance for the Group's education and healthcare businesses, including project accounting for research and CPD/seminar activities, asset management, treasury, and banking. As the key technical authority on accounting and taxation matters, the role supports business decision-making, corporate exercises, and regulatory requirements.

Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the Head of Reporting and Tax leads the implementation of new standards, manages audits and tax matters, and supports due diligence and M&A activities. The role operates in a fast-paced environment and is responsible for developing a high-performing reporting and tax team through effective leadership and succession planning.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Economics, Commerce.
• Professional qualification in MIA, CPA, CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Minimum 1015 years of relevant experience in financial reporting and taxation, including a leadership role.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and tax legislation.
• Experience working with external auditors and tax authorities.
• Prior experience in a complex organisation, group structure, or regulated environment is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Clear and effective communication skills, able to explain technical matters in simple and practical terms to non-finance stakeholders.
• Drives high team performance with organization goals in mind.
• Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting, tax, treasury, and related regulatory requirements.
• Solid understanding of how different parts of the organization work together and how financial, tax, cash flow, and operational matters are connected.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.Knowledge in Power BI is desirable.
• High attention to detail with the ability to see the broader business impact.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment.
• Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to step back, assess issues holistically, and identify root causes rather than just symptoms.
• Ability to connect the dots by linking financial information, business activities, risks, and regulatory requirements to form clear and practical conclusions.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
