Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design
Responsible for managing the design functions on projects as assigned including liaising with Architecture on interior space planning, engineering a specialty functions throughout all phases from feasibility to operations.
- Leading Design team for each assigned project including establishing design briefs, key score, schedule and cost.
- Advise consultant at use of cost effective materials throughout project.
- Assisting in the tender selection process specifically related to the appointment of pre-qualified interior consultant, interior contractor including adjudication and evaluation process.
2. Fit-Out / Tenancy
Responsible for the presentation and functional quality of all stores in the mall is of the highest possible international standard. Ensures business driven design solutions, on-site store delivery, and focusing department efforts that result in early store openings through effective use of the Tenancy SOPs system.
- Establish SOPs & tenancy design tracking procedures.
- Coordinate all efforts in support of leasing program. Provide technical support to the leasing team during the lease negotiation phase with Retailers.
- Coordinate with MEP Consultants to establish mall&aposs technical guidelines. Schedule of rates and coordinate the assessment of any Variations from base building works for Retailers.
- Coordinate with Architect for up to date Retail Plan, Study Plan, Tenancy Plan, Building details & etc that relates to tenancies.
- Other scope including Pre-Fit-Out, Unit Access, Handover Vacant Possession, Fit-Out Progress, Site Inspection, Local Authority Submission & up to the store opening.
3. Inventory Management
- Oversee and manage the companys entire furniture inventory, ensuring accurate tracking, documentation, and regular audits.
- Coordinate the acquisition, distribution, and disposal of furniture items in alignment with company needs and budget.
4. Secondary Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Provide Support, promoting individual and professional growth. Maintain a professional and positive atmosphere that permits the highest level of individual and collective department performance.
- Conducts performance appraisal reviews, bonus reviews, competency reviews and establishes department goals aligned with Company goals.
- Other duties, including travel, as required.
- Any other duty and responsibility which the company may assign from time to time
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor&aposs or Masters degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in interior design and fit-out, preferably in property development, hospitality, or commercial projects.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale interior design and fit-out projects.
- Strong knowledge of design principles, space planning, material selection, and construction techniques.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail with a keen eye for aesthetics and functionality.
