Are you a seasoned finance leader with a knack for operational excellence Lam Soon is seeking a high-caliber Finance expert to steer our Northern Region's financial and administrative landscape.
In this pivotal role, you will be the backbone of the region's finance operations, ensuring robust internal controls, strategic cash flow management, and seamless HR integration. You will act as a key finance business partner to the Northern Region General Manager, transforming financial data into actionable insights that drive our business forward.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Reporting
- Operational Oversight: Direct day-to-day finance and admin activities across the regional office and depots.
- Strategic Reporting: Lead the preparation of regional financial statements and management reports. Ensure total compliance with accounting standards, the Companies Act, and tax laws.
- Budgeting: Partner with the General Manager to craft annual Capex and Operational budgets, maintaining strict control over branch expenses.
Risk Management & Internal Controls
- Credit & Debtors Control: Monitor aging reports and collections closely. You will lead credit limit reviews and ensure prompt payment while mitigating risk.
- Asset Safeguarding: Implement and audit strict internal controls (SOPs) across sales, warehousing, and finance. Manage the region's insurance portfolio to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Inventory Integrity: Oversee monthly stock counts, investigate variances, and strictly enforce stock return and obsolescence policies.
Cash Flow & Compliance
- Treasury Management: Maintain strong control over regional cash flows, ensuring prompt banking and timely remittance to HQ.
- Regulatory Compliance: Act as the primary liaison for government authorities, ensuring all tax, audit, and statutory requirements are met.
- A&P Management: Review and monitor Agency Advertising & Promotion (A&P) claims for accurate HQ reimbursement.
Human Resources & Administration
- People Operations: Oversee payroll and HR functions, ensuring full compliance with the Employment Act, EPF, SOCSO, and Income Tax requirements.
- Office Governance: Maintain administrative orderliness, workplace safety, and security protocols across all sites.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Expert: You hold a Degree in Accounting or a Professional Qualification (ACCA, MICPA, CPA) and are a registered member of MIA.
- Experienced Leader: You bring 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and administration, preferably within a fast-paced regional or branch-based environment.
- Tech-Savvy: You are highly proficient in MS Office (Advanced Excel is a must). Experience with Movex (M3) or similar ERP systems is a significant advantage.
- Meticulous & Firm: You have a high eye for detail, a firm but fair approach to credit control, and the ability to uphold strict SOPs.
- Office Base : Must be willing to be working in Bukit Minyak Penang.
