Job Vacancy: Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance
Reporting line: Head of Compliance
Accountabilities:
- Lead Regulatory Strategy: Develop and oversee the regulatory compliance roadmap to align with the company's expansion into broader financial services.
- BNM Liaison: Act as the primary point of reference for Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), managing high-stakes licensing applications and maintaining a proactive supervisory relationship.
- Policy Interpretation: Monitor and analyze BNM Exposure Drafts and Consultation Papers, translating complex legislative changes into actionable business strategies.
- Business Partnership: Provide strategic advisory to Product and Financial Services teams to ensure new innovations are compliant by design.
- Drive Automation: Spearhead the implementation of automated compliance processes and RegTech solutions to enhance operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Board Advisory: Prepare and present concise insights on emerging regulatory trends and risks to Senior Management and Board-level committees.
Who you are:
- Experienced Leader: 610 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs or Compliance within Fintech, Digital Banking, or agile Foreign Banks.
- Technical Authority: Deep knowledge of the FSA/IFSA 2013 and MSBA 2011 frameworks, with a proven track record of managing BNM submissions.
- C-Suite Presence: A confident communicator capable of holding their own and building consensus in high-stakes stakeholder meetings.
- Tech-Forward: Proficient in leveraging data analysis and AI tools to move away from manual compliance checking.
- Agile Mindset: Comfortable operating in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with the flexibility required in a leading tech-driven organization.
- Solution-Oriented: A strategic thinker who provides How-To solutions for the business rather than just identifying roadblocks.
