Job Description
Job Summary**
As a Personal Banker at United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with individual clients, providing financial advice, and selling a range of banking products and services to meet their financial needs.
Job Responsibilities**
- Acquire new individual customers and deepen relationships with existing clients through proactive engagement and needs-based selling.
- Identify customer financial needs and recommend suitable banking products and services, including deposits, loans, credit cards, investments, and insurance.
- Provide personalized financial advice and guidance to customers, assisting them in achieving their financial goals.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, adhering to all bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide excellent customer service to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Meet and exceed sales targets for various banking products and services.
- Stay updated on market trends, product knowledge, and regulatory changes to provide informed advice to customers.
- Collaborate with other bank departments to cross-sell products and services and provide holistic financial solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and external regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) requirements.
Job Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a sales or customer service role within the banking or financial services industry, preferably as a Personal Banker.
- Strong understanding of retail banking products and services (e.g., deposits, loans, credit cards, investments, insurance).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Demonstrated sales acumen and a results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to analyze customer financial needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ethical conduct and commitment to compliance with banking regulations.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required. Proficiency in other languages will be an added advantage.
