Job Description

The role

As the Senior Officer, Wealth management Support at UOB KAY HIAN (M) SDN. BHD., you will be responsible for overseeing the settlement operations for the firm's wealth management business. This is a critical role that ensures timely and accurate processing of client transactions, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the company's wealth services offering.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end processing for investment products, including Unit Trusts, Bonds, Equities, and Structured Products.
  • Ensure accurate and timely trade capture, booking, confirmation, and settlement.
  • Monitor Corporate action even and processing dividend distribution.
  • Monitor transaction lifecycle and follow up on any discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with counterparties to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of holdings, cash positions, and transactions.
  • Investigate and resolve breaks, discrepancies, and exceptions in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all transactions are processed in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all operational activities.
  • Identify operational gaps and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support system enhancements, automation initiatives, and straight-through processing
  • Ensure standardization of processes across different product types.
  • Liaise with internal teams including Front Office, Compliance, Finance department
  • Coordinate with external parties such as custodians, brokers, fund houses, and counterparties on transaction matters.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics related field.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in Wealth Management, Investment Management, or Financial Services.
  • Less experienced candidates are encouraged to apply and may be considered for a junior Officer position, subject to qualifications and suitability.
  • Experience working with regulators (e.g., SC, BNM, FIMM) and handling compliance/risk assessments.
  • Deep knowledge of investment products (Unit Trusts, Bonds, Equities, Structured Products, Money Market, Private Mandates)
