Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Senior Project Manager role based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. The Senior Project Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of project execution, from initiation to completion. This includes coordinating project timelines, ensuring deliverables are met within scope and budget, monitoring progress, addressing challenges, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships. Additionally, this role supports PMO governance, manages client escalations, and mentors junior PMs to uplift overall project delivery capability. The Senior PM ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Execution

- Lead endtoend delivery of complex projects.

- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and baselines.

- Manage scope, timeline, cost, and quality with strong change control discipline.

- Ensure adherence to PMO governance, templates, and reporting standards.

Client & Stakeholder Management

- Act as primary escalation point for clients and internal teams.

- Facilitate steering committees, progress reviews, and issue resolution.

- Build strong client relationships and manage expectations proactively.

Risk, Assumption, Issue & Dependency Management

- Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies.

- Manage crossproject dependencies and coordinate with multiple departments.

- Escalate critical issues to HOD with clear options and recommendations.

Financial & Contract Management

- Track project budgets, invoicing milestones, and payment status.

- Support sales teams in variation orders, contract clarifications, and claims.

- Ensure accurate forecasting and financial reporting.

PMO Governance & Reporting

- Produce highquality weekly/monthly reports, dashboards, and documentation.

- Ensure compliance with audit requirements and internal controls.

- Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO processes and playbooks.

Team Leadership & Mentoring

- Guide junior PMs in planning, documentation, and stakeholder handling.

- Conduct peer reviews of project plans, RAID logs, and reports.

- Support capability development and knowledge sharing across the PMO.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Project Management, CyberSecurity or related field.

- PMP certification (mandatory).

- 57 years of Information Technology project management experience.

- Proven track record delivering complex, multivendor and government projects.

- Strong command of English and Malay (written and verbal).
