About the Role:
You will own system design, architecture, and feature delivery to ensure backend systems are reliable, scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives. By guiding junior engineers and influencing technical direction, you will directly impact system performance, team productivity, and product outcomes, while preparing for potential growth into technical leadership or management roles.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of backend microservices, APIs, and features.
- Own architecture and technical decisions for assigned modules, ensuring they meet business and system performance goals.
- Conduct code and architecture reviews for peers and junior engineers.
- Support production systems, troubleshoot critical issues, and improve operational processes.
- Collaborate with Product, Project, and Business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Contribute to the technology roadmap and technical standards.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and mentoring to strengthen the engineering team.
Technical Qualifications Enterprise Integration & Messaging Stack:
- Backend & Web: Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Web Services
- Databases: Oracle, MariaDB, or equivalent
- Messaging Queues: IBM MQ, ActiveMQ
- Optional: Mobile backend integrations (Android/iOS)
- CI/CD & Release Practices: Experience releasing software in CI/CD pipelines
Good-to-Have / Preferred:
- Experience across multiple tech stacks or full software lifecycle
- Exposure to fintech, payments, ERP integrations, or regulatory systems
- Knowledge of system reliability, monitoring, and operational excellence

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
