In this role you will:
- Contribute to central technical architecture for our rapidly growing suite of applications, utilizing microservices architecture and modern front end frameworks.
- Work across multiple teams to mentor engineers with best engineering practices.
- Lead front end and back end design decisions with inter-team dependencies for large-scale features.
- Work with product managers, and engineering leads to understand the application requirements, identify solutions, and determine feasibility & timelines.
- Build & deploy web applications and integrate with internal backend and external APIs.
- Build & deploy various microservices and APIs as well as develop applications that depend upon them.
- Help team members utilize best practices for all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including processes & conventions.
- Monitor API performance and suggest methods to improve.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools.
- Regularly communicate with product and engineering leads on project and delivery status.
- Assist with any related tasks, projects, and other assigned duties as and when deemed necessary.
- Ensure adherence to the compliance of company policies, industry regulations and legal requirements.
You're a great fit if you have:
- Great verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving capabilities and attention to details.
- Experience with building, deploying and managing modern web-based UIUX and integrating scalable, reliable backend APIs.
- Followed coding best practices such as SOLID, Functional Programming or DDD.
- Familiarity with design patterns.
- Excellent team player.
- Solid knowledge of Javascript and/or Typescript.
- Experience with Database Management Systems (DBMS) such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB.
- Understanding of Docker containers using Swarm / Kubernetes orchestration.
- Experience with the Nest.js / Express Framework.
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure Amazon Web Services (AWS) toolset.
- Understanding of message queuing, with tools such as RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka or AWS SQS.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
