Position Overview
The Chargeman is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and compliance of high-tension (HT) and low-voltage (LV) electrical infrastructure in accordance with statutory requirements.
Core Responsibilities
- Electrical Maintenance
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on switchgear, transformers, generators, and distribution boards.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults to minimize downtime.
- Compliance and Regulatory Management
- Ensure compliance with Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) regulations.
- Prepare and support scheduled inspections and certifications.
- System Monitoring
- Monitor load distribution and system performance.
- Implement safety controls and emergency response procedures.
Key Skills And Qualifications
- Valid Chargeman Certification (A4) from Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
- Minimum 5 years experience in HT/LV operations and maintenance.
- Good understanding of electrical safety, energy conservation, and compliance standards.
