Your Job:
Typically performs one or more of the following in capacity of either an individual contributor (as directed and/or independently):
- Performs activities related to the purchasing of materials, equipment and services for internal company use.
- Drives supplier selection and supplier relationship management through critical performance levers including Quality, Cost Competitiveness, Operational/Supply Chain Excellence, Technology Leadership, Service & Partnership, Ethics, BCP & Compliance.
- Program management to drive cost competitiveness and technology improvements through partnership with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Develops, implements and communicates company policies and procedures for purchasing.
- Reviews purchase requests for completeness and compliance with company requirement.
- Supports escalations and coordination of purchasing activities with the engineering, manufacturing and supply chain planning departments and suppliers to maintain inventories at planned levels.
- Negotiates with vendors and approves purchases of authorized amounts or size.
- Maintains and updates purchasing orders, systems, and documentation. Monitors the cost, schedule and performance metrics of contracts and subcontracts.
- Perform all activities in a safe, timely and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
- Works on other projects and/or assignments as needed
Required Qualifications:
- University Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or Sciences
- Experienced candidates (8-10 years) and should demonstrate:
- Appropriate leadership and project management skills to lead projects and to support more junior level colleagues
- Applies a company-oriented and strategic thinking (high level picture) as well as advanced cost understanding.
- Applies appropriate language skills based on the job environment covering.
