The UiPath Solution Architect is the senior technical leader for the Central RPA Platform O&M engagement. The Architect is responsible for the overall technical integrity of the Platform, governing all design decisions, directing the development and DevOps teams, and leading the strategic migration of the Platform to Government Commercial Cloud (GCC+). The Architect ensures that the Platform remains scalable, secure, and aligned with UiPath's evolving product roadmap and whole-of-government (WOG) strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall technical ownership and architectural governance of the Central RPA Platform (UiPath Automation Suite on Kubernetes / GDC3).
- Design and review all architecture artefacts including Design and Technical Specifications, O&M Support Plans, Transition Plans, and Integration Design Documents for PSC approval.
- Lead the architectural design and implementation of the Platform migration to Government Commercial Cloud (GCC+) with Confidential / Sensitive High data classification compliance, ensuring scalability, availability, and security by 1 Oct 2028.
- Define and govern the DR / BCP architecture including the alternate hosting site on GCC+ serving as the Disaster Recovery environment.
- Evaluate and validate major UiPath Automation Suite version upgrades, new capabilities (e.g., One-Package Deployment, AI Centre, Document Understanding, Process Mining), and feasibility within platform environment.
- Design the co-existence strategy during platform migration and ensure zero business disruption during cutover phases.
- Direct the DevOps / Infra Engineer on Kubernetes cluster architecture, HA design, patching strategy, and monitoring framework (Grafana integration).
- Oversee UiPath Orchestrator architecture including multi-tenancy design, folder structure, role-based access control, and resource allocation across 16+ WOG agencies.
- Guide and review automation development standards set for UiPath Developers – including REFramework usage, naming conventions, error handling, and logging standards.
- Provide technical advisory on new UiPath technology deployments based on vendor recommendations and alignment with business requirements.
- Lead the design and implementation of security architecture: ADFS / SAML 2.0 SSO, WOG SSL/TLS certificate management, access control integration with CAM, and application hardening.
- Direct and review VAPT / SSAT engagements; validate remediation approaches and ensure timely closure of all security findings.
- Serve as the technical authority in PSC meetings, providing architecture updates, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations.
- Ensure all system components, integration services, design documents, and configurations are subject to Customer clearance prior to implementation.
- Conduct and oversee Acceptance Testing framework: unit, functional, SIT, load, failover, and operational readiness testing – with comprehensive evidence documentation.
- Drive knowledge transfer, operations manual authoring, training plan design, and technical mentoring of the O&M team throughout the contract period.
