The Global Trade & Product Compliance (GTPC) department in Malaysia serves as the centralized leadership hub for all import and export operations across MR D.I.Y. globally. The team provides strategic oversight of shipment planning, trade compliance, and logistics execution to ensure the efficient movement of cargo across international borders.

GTPC is responsible for planning, monitoring, and supervising global import and export activities to drive cost efficiencies and deliver strategic advantages for the business. The department also manages key stakeholder relationships and ensures full compliance with domestic regulations as well as international trade, export, and financial laws.

Job Responsibilities:

Project Logistics

• Support import and export operations while ensuring compliance with local and international trade regulations, and manage logistics schedules to support project timelines.
• Analyze logistics data such as delivery backlogs, lead times, costs, and fulfillment metrics to identify issues and drive operational improvements.
• Ensure product compliance across categories (e.g., Household, Medical, Appliances, F&B, Cosmetics), including HS codes, licenses, permits, and regulatory requirements.

Logistics Control & Shipment Coordination

• Coordinate and monitor day-to-day international shipments, liaising with internal teams, logistics partners, and global stakeholders to ensure smooth shipping processes.
• Support customs clearance and ensure compliance with import/export regulations, including regulated or special commodities.
• Analyze logistics and trade data (e.g., transportation costs, lead times, capacity utilization) and support reporting and process improvements.

Product Compliance

• Ensure products comply with local HS codes, import regulations, and international product standards across multiple categories.
• Liaise with internal teams and third-party consultants to obtain required approvals, certifications, licenses, and permits.
• Maintain compliance documentation and SOPs while monitoring regulatory changes and advising relevant stakeholders.

HS Code Classification

• Coordinate with customs brokers, logistics teams, and purchasers to ensure accurate HS code classification before shipment.
• Gather product information and maintain the HS code masterlist to support proper tariff classification and regulatory compliance.
• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve classification issues and prevent shipment delays.

Job Requirements:

• Possess a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; relevant internship experience is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and contribute operational improvement ideas.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written) for effective coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
