Job Description

About The Role

One People Team is working closely with our client to hire a Talent Executive for a growing, people-facing business.

This role will be responsible for day-to-day talent acquisition and onboarding, while also supporting talent attraction and talent management initiatives.

Talent acquisition will be the most active part of the role. You will help source candidates, manage hiring coordination, follow up with stakeholders, support offer and onboarding arrangements, and keep the recruitment process moving.

This role is suitable for someone who is organised, proactive, eager to learn, and able to follow through with minimal handholding.

Why This Role Matters

As the business grows, hiring and onboarding need to be more consistent, structured, and well-managed.

This role helps ensure the company attracts the right people, moves candidates through the hiring process smoothly, and gives new joiners a good start.

You will play an important role in keeping recruitment on track, supporting the new hire experience, and contributing to people initiatives that help the team stay engaged and connected.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Attraction

  • Build candidate pipelines through LinkedIn, job portals, referrals, universities, communities, and other relevant channels.
  • Support hiring content, candidate outreach, referrals, recruitment campaigns, career fairs, or community outreach when needed.
  • Suggest simple improvements to strengthen talent attraction and increase candidate interest.

Talent Acquisition

  • Own the end-to-end recruitment process for assigned roles, from sourcing and screening to interview coordination, offer follow-up, and pre-onboarding handover.
  • Work closely with the senior leaders, hiring managers, and team leads to understand hiring needs and candidate requirements.
  • Source, screen, and shortlist candidates based on role fit, attitude, potential, and culture fit.
  • Coordinate interviews, assessments, candidate communication, hiring updates, and offer follow-up.
  • Maintain recruitment trackers, candidate pipelines, hiring reports, and interview updates.
  • Use hiring data, candidate feedback, and market observations to improve the recruitment process.

Talent Management & Onboarding

  • Own onboarding & induction coordination to ensure new joiners have a smooth, organised, and welcoming start.
  • Prepare onboarding schedules, joining arrangements, new hire updates, and required people documentation.
  • Coordinate employee check-ins, feedback activities, engagement initiatives, and culture-building activities.
  • Support learning, development, performance, and talent management activities through coordination, tracking, and follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate people records, onboarding trackers, employee documentation, and talent-related updates.
  • Use digital tools and AI where helpful to improve communication, tracking, reporting, content creation, and day-to-day productivity.

Key Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Recruitment, HR, Employee Experience, Talent Management, Employer Branding, or related people functions.
  • Hands-on experience managing recruitment activities, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, candidate communication, offer follow-up, and hiring tracking.
  • Experience coordinating onboarding or new hire experience is required.
  • Exposure to employer branding, employee engagement, learning, performance, or people development initiatives is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.

Skills & Attributes

  • Able to take ownership of day-to-day hiring and onboarding work with minimal handholding.
  • People-oriented, approachable, and confident engaging with candidates, employees, hiring managers, and senior leaders.
  • Strong communication, coordination, follow-through, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Organised, responsive, and able to manage multiple roles, timelines, and people-related tasks at the same time.
  • Curious, resourceful, adaptable, and eager to grow beyond recruitment into broader talent and people work.
  • Comfortable using recruitment platforms, spreadsheets, trackers, and AI tools to work more efficiently.
