Job Summary
METTLER TOLEDO is seeking a high-caliber Application Specialist to drive technical excellence within our Product Inspection (PI) division. This is a strategic, dual-functioning role designed to bridge the gap between complex engineering requirements and commercial objectives. The successful candidate will act as the primary technical authority, providing sophisticated pre- and post-sales consultancy for our market-leading inspection solutions (X-ray, Metal Detection, and Check weighing) across the F&B, Pharmaceutical, and Electronics sectors.
Key Strategic Responsibilities
- Liaising with current and potential customer requirements by establishing personal rapport and understanding key requirements.
- Provide and present product & technical information to potential and existing customers.
- Provide technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team. Becoming a competent key technical advisor and product advocate for MT products and solutions.
- Communicate regulatory compliance requirement and applications effectively, demonstrating MT's market leadership and expertise in the relevant fields.
- Interact with customers engineering teams to illustrate MT valued propositions and integration regardless new or existing system.
- Offer assistance for representing the products to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, if required by sales team.
- Present technical proposals with Sales Team to secure a win-win agreement with customers with best solution possible.
- Technical pre/post sales application support for range of solutions and work with sales and service team to meet and exceed sales targets.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Robust foundational knowledge in PLC Systems, Electrical/Mechanical Automation Integration, and Industrial Networking.
- 1-4 years of proven experience in a technical sales or application engineering capacity, preferably within a project-based environment.
- Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and floor-level engineers alike.
- Valid driving license with the flexibility for regional travel to support site evaluations and field events.
Preferred Attributes:
- Demonstrated experience with Industry 4.0 and IoT integration in manufacturing.
- First-hand experience in conducting technical seminars or professional webinars.
