The Role
We are seeking a highly driven Technical Electrical Sales Engineer to support our business growth within the Data Centre, Telecommunications, Energy, and M&E sectors. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge in electrical systems with sales acumen to provide customer-focused solutions, build client relationships, and drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
· Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within Data Centres, Telco, Industrial and Energy sectors.
· Prepare and deliver technical proposals, quotations, and sales presentations to clients.
· Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to achieve sales targets.
· Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and sales forecasting.
2. Technical Support
· Provide technical consultation and system recommendations to clients based on project requirements.
· Interpret electrical single-line diagrams, specifications, M&E drawings, and tender documents.
· Work closely with engineering and project teams to ensure accurate solution design and compliance.
· Support testing, commissioning, and post-sales technical matters when required.
3. Project Coordination
· Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
· Participate in site surveys, client meetings, and technical clarifications.
· Track project progress and manage customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Documentation & Reporting
· Prepare sales reports, pipeline updates, and customer feedback for management review.
· Maintain accurate records of proposals, contracts, and correspondence.
Requirements
Education & Experience
· Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
· Minimum 2–5 years of experience in technical sales, M&E, data centre systems, power distribution, or similar industries.
Technical Skills
· Strong understanding of LV / HV electrical systems, UPS, switchgear, generators, HVAC (advantage).
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
· Experience in tendering, cost estimation, and solution engineering.
Soft Skills
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Strong customer-oriented mindset.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
· Proactive, result-driven, and team player.
Additional Advantages
· Experience working with data centres, telco infrastructure, or energy-related projects.
· Familiarity with O&M, testing & commissioning, and electrical safety standards.
· Able to communicate and write in Mandarin
