Role and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the preparation of overall design on the preliminary stage during tender stage, execution of the project until testing and commissioning.
- Able to guide the team through the design, testing and project stages and review the completed work effectively.
- Provide direction and technical expertise in design, development and systems integration.
- Able to make quick decisions and solve technical problems to provide an efficient environment for project implementation.
- Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
- Analyse economics of design solutions and provide actionable feedback relating to technical-cost benefit optimization.
- Lead selection and procurement of equipment (PV panel, inverter, transformer, RMU, MSB, cable, etc.).
- Review tender proposal by department once sufficient documents from client have been obtained from Business Development Team.
- Delegate task and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise Technical team members and contractors and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Perform knowledge sharing to improve knowledge of staff for career development.
- Chart and plan for development of all subordinates
- Maintain a safe, secure and healthy work environment by adhering to and enforcing safety codes.
- Ad hoc assignments assigned
Additional Notes (IF ANY)
- Candidate must possess at lease Bachelor's Degree / Post Graduate / Professional Degree in Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent.
- At Least 3 5 year (s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- SEDA Certified GCPV / OGPV Person is an added advantage.
- Required Skills: Project Management, Coordination, and Supervisory Skills. Experience in AutoCAD and Pvsyst is an added advantage.
- Must be willing to travel to project sites as when required within Malaysia
- Able to work independently and meet scheduled.
