Job Description
- Provide clear technical leadership across multiple product lines.
- Ensure architecture consistency, scalability, and maintainability across platforms.
- Serve as the technical counterpart to product teams, supporting feature feasibility and delivery excellence.
- Review system designs, architecture diagrams, APIs, and code-level components at a high level.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and long-term architectural trade-offs.
- Advocate engineering best practices, cloud architecture standards, and DevOps principles.
- Work closely with commercial teams to translate client problems into solution architectures.
- Assess alignment with current product capabilities or future roadmap potential.
- Support proposal development, pilots, and proof-of-concepts with strong technical framing.
- Incorporate structured client, user, and market feedback into product iteration cycles.
- Validate that new features solve real market problems and contribute to long-term strategy.
- Guard against over-customisation by balancing client requests with product scalability.
- Provide transparency on technical risks, delivery timelines, and technical debt.
- Align engineering leads, product teams, and senior stakeholders on priorities.
- Ensure technical readiness for go-to-market launches and product deployments.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- 8+ years in software development, technical leadership, or product engineering roles.
- Proven track record managing full product lifecycles in enterprise or government environments.
- Strong understanding of backend systems, frontend frameworks, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with system integration, data pipelines, IoT or enterprise-scale products.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Exposure to AI/ML systems, smart city technologies, or immersive/AR/VR platforms.
- Hands-on coding experience (advantage but not required).
