Leads the strategic development, product management, and operational performance of the debit card portfolio. Key responsibilities include driving card activation and usage, optimizing profitability, managing partnerships (e.g., Mastercard/Visa/PayNet), ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute the roadmap for debit card products to increase market share, transaction volumes, and revenue. Define and own new products to entice customers, including launching new features like virtual cards, contactless payments, and integration with mobile wallets (e.g., Apple Pay, Google Pay).
- Portfolio Growth: Drive customer acquisition, card activation, and transaction volume through targeted marketing initiatives and portfolio analytics (via decision management), with the main goal of improving approval rates & customer experience
- Operations & Risk Management: Oversee day-to-day card operations, including issuance, processing, ATM network, scheme mandates and fraud detection/mitigation to meet SLAs.
- Marketing & Usage: Collaborate with marketing to drive card activation, usage, and retention through targeted campaigns.
- Research & Opportunity: Conduct periodic market and competitor analysis especially on the latest market trend to ensure CIMB always ahead of the game
- Compliance & Compliance: Ensure all products and operations comply with financial regulations, security standards, and network rules.
- Digital Transformation: Lead the development of user-friendly digital journeys for card management within banking apps.
- Partners/Vendor/Network Management: Manage relationships with Co-Brand partners, card networks (Visa/Mastercard/PayNet), vendors, and technology partners, with the aim of maximizing scheme incentives
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and mentor the card operations and product teams.
