Job Description

Job Purpose

To lead and drive strategic business development initiatives for the private trust business by originating high-value client relationships, expanding the firm's market presence, and delivering tailored trust and fiduciary solutions to high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals, families, and institutional clients. The role is accountable for revenue generation, client acquisition, and strengthening intermediary networks, while ensuring full compliance with regulatory frameworks and maintaining the firm's fiduciary integrity and reputation.

Key Responsibilities

1.Financial

  • Provides holistic consultation and advisory for High Net Worth Individual and Ultra High Net Worth Individual prospects for their wealth planning (e.g. wealth distribution across generations, risk management to ringfence the assets, succession planning for the family-owned business, philanthropic intention, asset consolidations and etc).
  • Prepares detailed proposal and fee quotation after fact finding with clients on their objectives and requests.
  • Performs due diligence/ KYC on clients profile and clients source of funds/ wealth to ensure the compliance requirements are fulfilled before onboarding.
  • Attending meetings with business partner/ distributor to provide 60 Role Profile Template Kenanga 10/2019 consultation for their potential prospects.
  • Addresses corporate clients enquiries for corporate trusteeship services.
  • Compiles monthly and quarterly business activities reports for management meeting and board meeting.
  • Facilitate the distributors in joint field work with potential clients to promote products.
  • Plan, manage and coordinate sales related activities.

2.Client Servicing

  • Acts as Trust Relationship Manager to liaise with clients on-going and ad-hoc requests (e.g. distribution request, investment transaction, injection of new assets and etc.).
  • Conducts periodic reviews with clients on the trust status and updates clients on new industry practice and laws.
  • Liaises with clients designated relationship manager/ lawyer/ personal assistant/ corporate secretary to facilitate the assets transfer and investment transactions.
  • Assists clients to source for other professional services (e.g. investment manager, tax consultant, lawyer, banker and etc.) for clients personal related matters.

3.Marketing Initiatives

  • Designs presentation slides, brochures, forms for marketing initiatives.
  • Conducts trainings and refresher courses to guide the business partner/ distributor.
  • Provides presentation (physical and virtual) in various in-house or public seminars.
  • Develops new products/ marketing initiatives (from concept paper until official launch).
  • Lead and execute ad-hoc projects/ tasks given by CEO.
  • Carry out sales presentations.

4.Staff Development and Engagement

  • Attend internal and external trainings and all mandatory test.
  • Monitor staff performance, development plan, discipline and performance matters/issues.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to direct reports.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Sales, Finance, Law, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years and above experience in trust company / financial instituition / legal industry (handling estate and trust matters)
