Job Title : Assistant Finance Manager/Finance Manager
Department : Finance & Accounting
Reporting to : Head of Finance
Location: Kota Damansara
Job Summary:
Our client is looking for a results-driven Assistant Finance Manager/Finance Manager to oversee and improve their financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cash flow
management. This role will support business growth by providing clear financial
insights, ensuring compliance, and helping optimise costs. The ideal candidate is
analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing finance functions in a fast-
paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Financial Planning & Budgeting
-Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
-Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis with actionable insights.
-Collaborate with department heads to align financial planning with business goals.
2. Financial Reporting & Analysis
-Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
-Analyse financial data to support strategic decision-making.
-Ensure timely submission of reports to management and stakeholders.
3. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
-Oversee daily cash flow and liquidity planning.
-Manage banking relationships and optimize working capital.
-Monitor funding needs and implement cost-effective financing solutions.
4. Compliance & Risk Management
-Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial policies, and internal controls.
-Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies.
-Identify financial risks and implement controls to safeguard company assets.
5. Team Leadership & Process Improvement
-Lead and develop the finance team to enhance performance and efficiency.
-Streamline accounting and finance processes for accuracy and speed.
-Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Key Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. Professional
certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an added advantage.
-Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a similar role, preferably
in a fast-paced or growth-oriented environment.
-Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SQL, SAP, Oracle);
strong Excel skills required.
-Solid understanding of accounting standards, financial reporting, and relevant
regulatory requirements.
-Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to interpret financial data for
decision-making.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and
external stakeholders.
-Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple
priorities effectively.
-Demonstrates high integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in handling
sensitive financial information.
-The successful candidate must possess strong Mandarin skills to manage client communications and support cross-border transactions.
