Business Development Executive

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Executive role based in Shah Alam. The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, generating qualified leads, and supporting the growth of City-Link Express's logistics and courier services. Day-to-day tasks include researching potential markets, approaching prospective clients, presenting service offerings, and preparing proposals and quotations. The role also involves managing and nurturing existing accounts, coordinating with internal operational teams to ensure service quality, and tracking sales performance against targets. The Business Development Executive will contribute to marketing initiatives, attend client meetings and industry events, and provide regular reports and insights to management.

Qualifications

• Strong new business development and lead generation skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and build a robust sales pipeline.
• Solid understanding of business and commercial concepts, including pricing, negotiation, and sales strategies.
• Effective communication skills, including clear presentation, active listening, and professional client interaction.
• Account management capabilities, with experience maintaining relationships, handling client queries, and supporting retention and growth.
• Experience in logistics, courier, or related industries is an advantage.
• Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and CRM tools.
• Ability to work independently, meet targets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
