Job Summary
We are seeking a highly driven, disciplined, and proactive Business Development Executive to work directly under the Head of Business Development (HOBD) in supporting strategic business initiatives, partnerships, tenders, commercial engagements, and operational coordination across the organization. This role is suited for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced and high-expectation working environment, possess strong self-initiative, business acumen, and are capable of independently driving tasks with minimal supervision. The candidate will play a critical supporting role in ensuring the smooth execution of all initiatives under the HOBD function, including coordination with internal stakeholders, preparation of business materials, and management of strategic follow-ups. The ideal candidate should possess a blend of technical understanding and administrative capability, enabling them to effectively bridge commercial, operational, and technical discussions.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Head of Business Development to support strategic initiatives, business expansion efforts, partnerships, and key accounts.
- Assist in managing and coordinating end-to-end business development activities including proposals, presentations, tender submissions, and commercial documentation.
- Support the preparation of high-quality reports, business summaries, briefing materials, and executive-level presentations.
- Coordinate with internal departments including technical, project, finance, operations, and management teams to ensure timely execution of deliverables.
- Monitor and track business opportunities, tender portals, client requirements, and submission timelines.
- Maintain proper documentation, business records, sales pipelines, meeting minutes, and follow-up trackers.
- Conduct market intelligence, competitor analysis, and industry research to support strategic decision-making.
- Support customer engagement activities including meetings, presentations, workshops, and business discussions.
- Assist in drafting business correspondence, commercial proposals, and official communications.
- Support ad-hoc strategic and operational assignments under the HOBD office.
- Ensure high responsiveness, discipline, and execution standards in supporting day-to-day business operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
- Preferred candidate with 3–5 years of technical or technology-related background/exposure, and 1–3 years of administrative, coordination, or business support experience.
- Strong self-initiative with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Possess good business acumen, critical thinking, and problem-solving capability.
- Highly disciplined, organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Comfortable supporting executive-level business activities and cross-functional coordination.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive business matters.
Preferred Skills & Advantages
- Exposure to business development, bid management, tender coordination, project coordination, or strategic planning.
- Basic understanding of technology systems, digital solutions, transportation systems, or enterprise solutions is an added advantage.
- Copywriting capability or experience in preparing business content, presentations, proposals, or corporate communications is a plus.
- Experience supporting C-level executives or senior management is advantageous.
- Ability to adapt quickly and perform effectively in a dynamic and evolving business environment.
