Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Database Developer to join our team on a contract basis. You will be responsible for SQL development, database design, and supporting critical reporting initiatives, particularly related to MFRS 17 and ITSR.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and optimize SQL queries, scripts, and stored procedures
• Design and implement database structures including tables, relationships, and data models
• Perform data modelling to ensure efficient data storage and accessibility
• Handle ETL processes (Extract, Transform, Load) from multiple data sources
• Optimize and rewrite SQL code to improve database performance
• Debug and troubleshoot issues using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
• Develop and support reporting using SSIS and SSRS
• Assist with data mapping and reporting requirements for ITSR and MFRS 17
• Perform end-to-end testing for databases, scripts, and reports
• Collaborate with internal teams on system design and documentation
• Support data replication from PMACS to EDS for reporting requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in database development
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server
• Experience with SSIS and SSRS is a must
• Solid understanding of database design and data modelling
• Experience in ETL processes
• Good problem-solving and debugging skills
• Experience in financial services or insurance industry is an added advantage
