In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the Stamping Operations, as well as managing stamping equipment engineering, dies on all projects, ensuring efficient P&L management, meeting production schedules within budgeted costs, and maintaining high product quality.
The Stamping Director also need to oversee all aspects of metal stamping operations, including high-speed stamping, progressive die operations, and deep draw (DIP draw) processes. This role ensures production efficiency, quality control, and cost-effective manufacturing practices while maintaining safety standards and leading continuous improvement across stamping departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and enhance overall production capabilities.
- Ensures supply chain connectivity of all parts during Product transfer and NPI builds till mass production phase.
- Manage the engineering aspects of stamping equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Work closely with the engineering team to identify and implement improvements, innovations, and cost-effective solutions.
- Lead the development and maintenance of dies for all projects.
- Knowledge of dip drawing.
- Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to ensure the timely availability of high-quality dies for stamping operations.
- Evaluate opportunities for insourcing stamping operations and make informed decisions based on cost, quality, and strategic considerations.
- Regularly communicate with senior management, providing updates on production performance, challenges, and improvement initiatives.
- Generate and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve plant performance.

EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
REQUIREMENT
- Proven experience (10+ years) in a leadership role within stamping operations.
- Strong understanding of stamping equipment, die design, and manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated success in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
