Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for data centre operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Perform electrical load calculations and power distribution analysis to optimize energy efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical, IT, and cooling systems.
- Conduct regular inspections, testing, and maintenance of electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
- Prepare technical documentation, including schematics, specifications, and reports for electrical systems and projects.
- Support the installation and commissioning of electrical infrastructure, including generators, UPS systems, and switchgear.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; professional certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in data centre or critical infrastructure environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and energy management principles.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes, including IEEE, NEC, and IEC regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
